Ocala Landscape Co. is owned by Andy and April Lewis, a husband-and-wife team with deep roots in Central Florida and a shared commitment to hard work, craftsmanship, and serving people well.

Andy grew up around the construction industry and developed a strong appreciation for building, restoring, and maintaining things with care. His background includes carpentry, historic home restoration, landscaping, and property maintenance. Those experiences shaped his eye for detail, materials, structure, and long-lasting quality — all of which now influence the way Ocala Landscape Co. approaches outdoor spaces.

April grew up with a close connection to Central Florida’s horticulture and landscape supply industry. Her family’s company, C&C Peat, was a well-known part of the region’s nursery, soil, and growing media industry for decades. As a child, she was regularly around the business and saw firsthand the importance of quality materials, strong relationships, and serving growers, landscapers, and property owners well. That early exposure gave her a lasting appreciation for the people, products, and behind-the-scenes details that help Florida landscapes thrive.

Before entering the landscape industry, April built a career in banking, where she served as a lead teller supervisor. That role strengthened her attention to detail, organization, customer service, and trustworthiness — qualities that continue to shape how Ocala Landscape Co. communicates, operates, and cares for its clients.

Andy also holds a degree in Biblical Studies and previously served as a pastor, a role that shaped the way he leads, communicates, and serves others. His time in ministry strengthened his commitment to honesty, relationships, and caring for people well — values that remain central to the way Andy and April approach business and life.

Together, Andy and April entered the landscape industry with purpose. After purchasing a small local company that had served the Ocala area for more than 20 years, they saw an opportunity to build on that foundation while bringing their own values, experience, and vision to the work. For them, landscaping is not just about plants, hardscapes, or curb appeal. It is about helping people create outdoor spaces that feel intentional, welcoming, and built to last.

Outside of work, Andy and April are parents, and their family is a major part of their motivation. They understand that a home is more than a property; it is where families gather, memories are made, and outdoor spaces become part of everyday life.
